D.C. is the perfect city for foodies. There are SO MANY hip and interesting restaurants, and I haven't even begun to really explore all the wonderful, edible delights that The District has to offer. So when my friend asked if I wanted to go out to eat with her during restaurant week, I was all for it.

D.C.'s weather has been pretty schizo. The night we went to dinner, I was able to wear this cardigan without a long-sleeve blouse underneath, jeggings without tights, and slingbacks. SLINGBACKS!!! I wish every winter was this mild.
Jeggings :: H&M
Suede slingbacks :: Urban Outfitters
Shoulder bag (worn as clutch) :: Forever 21
"Arm Candy" (that I NEVER wear) :: Target watch, H&M bracelets
Hair :: Straightened...almost wavy but [clearly] the waves dropped -______-

I love tapas. Charlottesville VA has a great tapas restaurant called Mas. Can't wait to go back.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first time having tapas on such a grand scale. If Charlottesville wasn't so far...
DeleteI am happy you had fun there! My boyfriend and I went there for our anniversary and we got the tapas sampler and was not impressed. But I think it depends on what you get and their sangria is great!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, how do you keep your hair straight when it gets humid? I'm wondering what I'll do to keep my natural hair straight when the DC summer hits!
Def agree on the sangria!
DeleteI really don't do anything special. I try to stay out of the rain, for one =) I don't usually straighten my hair during the summer because of humidity. Definitely invest in a good flat iron that gives a good press. Also use a silicon-based heat protectant, and apply a silicon-based serum to your hair to lock out moisture from the humidity. Also, humidity attacks dry hair, so keep your straightened hair moisturized. I like to use Elasta QP Mango Butter Moisturizer (you only need a lil' bit). Hope that helps!
